Bing refuses to leave the spot light in the beginning of 2016. With the impressive improvements this company made with a failing search engine last year, they, for the first time saw revenue. With more and more users switching to Bing, the company is still trying to make the company better, starting with its logo.
On their developers site they state “Agility has allowed Bing developers to be incredibly efficient and incredibly productive. To give some context: We’re deploying thousands of services 20 times per week, with 600 engineers contributing to the codebase. We’re pushing over 4000 individual changes per week, where each code change submission goes through a test pass containing over 20,000 tests… and that test pass takes about 10 minutes down from several hours or even days. In short, Agility has been a game-changer for Bing.”
Although Google still has a comfortable lead in search shares, this was said “We expect Bing to continue to grow and are thrilled with our trajectory. We are the only search engine that is experiencing steady, consistent growth and have increased our share for 26 consecutive quarters. And we’re not slowing down.”

With 29% growth in 2015 to 21% market share, $1 billion in revenue last year, and deals that will see Bing powers Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa, as well as all of AOL’s search engine properties for this year, van der Kooi certainly has grounds to be positive
